Anatomy of the Perfect Website Pitch That Sells 30+ Websites P/Mth

By November 28, 2014 15 Comments

Last week we talked about Time Wasters, Tight-Asses and $500 Websites.

It was great to see such an interesting and passionate conversation bubble up from it. (And one shirty email about the profanity in the title! Oops, sorry about that.)

We talked about the guilt of giving up too early, the AMEN’s to selling on value and the sheer frustration with stingy clients who think you should work for peanuts.

It. Was. Brilliant.

If you haven’t read it it, go check it out now and come back.

Firstly, thank you to moon and back for all your comments, it makes me so happy to strike a chord with you in a way that feels right and in alignment with me. If I can help you in just some small way, it makes all my battles feel like they’ve been 100% worth it.

(And I’m only just getting warmed up! Wait til you see what’s coming!)

Secondly, you’ll be happy to know I’m gonna keep this short and sweet because of my big promise I made last week…. It’s a webinar I just did a couple of weeks ago for my ProPartners all about sales and crafting the perfect pitch.

And it’s all yours today, FREE as my gift to get you on your way less heartache, rejection and fear and more conversions, sales and profits!

It’s this here pitch that helps us sell about 30-50 websites per month.

I know. Am I insane? I still can’t believe I’m giving it away.

Anyway, I love you all and I’m gonna come right out and give it to you straight up…. because after all, it is 94 minutes of sales crack and I know you’re going to want to hook into it the minute you can.

So, if you find that with prospects, you:

  • Seem to be communicating your value really well and then they say they’ll get back to you and they don’t — this webinar is for you.
  • Have a great meeting (like when you walk out 9 inches taller great) but then they suddenly decide to go with someone else — this webinar is for you.
  • Get on the phone to followup and you hear them hesitating, or worst still, they avoid your calls altogether — this webinar is for you.
  • Find they’re waffling a lot and spewing out different reasons why they can’t commit — this webinar is for you.
  • Hear them saying the dreading “we’re interested but just not right now” — this webinar is for you.
  • Or if they already know your pricing and they try and haggle you down — this webinar is for you.

Without further ado, grab a beer (or wine, coffee, vodka — whatever flips your switch), put your feet up this fine Friday arvo, kick back and enjoy.

Listen in for the nuggets of wisdom while I pull every bit of sales gold I can from my two superstars, Simon & Kyle, who have sold 800 and 300 websites respectively.

That’s a whole lot of pitching practice and perfection right there!

  • Thank you for sharing, lot of great information. Where can I see the work (portfolio) that Simon & Kyle has done for their clients?

    • Hey Sean, of course! I’m so glad you liked it! Here’s our current folio http://www.web123.com.au/Portfolio.aspx

And check back in a week or so as we’re adding more soon.

      • Thank you and great work. Just another quick question. Looking at your portfolio, I’ve noticed majority of the websites are not responsive. Is it that the client has no interest in it or if they did you would have to charge more for it? Also what if one of these clients wants a responsive site done, would you do a dedicated mobile site for it?

        • Hi Sean, no that’s because we’re building a new platform which is responsive and it wouldn’t be worth our time to also build responsive into our current platform as we’re ditching it altogether in a couple of months and rolling all our clients over the new platform.

We have a dedicated mobile site for each client now but if I was doing responsive, no, I wouldn’t also do a mobile site. Unless of course the client particularly wanted it. Our clients, being mainly small businesses, would not have the budget however. Cheers,

  • OK.. haven’t watched it yet but perfect timing as I really need to!! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • wow… I didn’t think I had the time to listen to this (as I saw it took 90 mins) so I just put it on it the background while doing some work. I am so glad I did though… I ended up paying full attention to the webinar and canning the other stuff I was doing. So much great info that I had to write notes. Heaps of quote gems that I need to display around me to remind me later. I love “the builder not building a house many times till he gets it right” analogy… that’s where I am with a client on a logo design atm! From listening to you guys I can see that I am not building the relationship correctly at the start. Thanks heaps 🙂

    • I’m so glad to hear this Grace, and my guys are super happy too! Yes, it’s gold isn’t it. I knew when we recorded it that it was something special and I just wanted to share it with the world.

And yes, it’s totally how you ‘train’ your clients to treat you from the get-go. Can make the difference between smooth sailing and constant tear-jerkers. I’m so happy you got so much out of it! 🙂
